Couldn't pair the device when on boarding through Galaxy S22 ultra. Had to use a friend's phone to complete the process

This is a completely unsupported product that DOES NOT WORK. I bought it think that it might be slightly better than the whistle device I had and because coverage for TMobile in my area is pretty good. I've gone through every troubleshooting step multiple times, had the device replaced, escalated a ticket to tmobile IT/engineering and still ended up with no results. I was finally able to figure out how to get it to connect to the app on my phone (going to app permissions and manually giving the app more permissions than it asked for) but the battery lasts for less than one day. Usually about 6-8 hours. The app constantly tells me to put the device on the charger and connect it to wifi to update the firmware, but I've had it connected to the wifi and on the charger for more than a month now and the firmware won't update. I have no idea about actual functionality because it's so incredibly frustrating that I just stopped trying to use it. Best part is I'm still paying for the device beca...
