For professionals with little or no project management experience, the CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is the most common credential. It validates your knowledge and understanding of project management terminology.

This certification enhances your credibility by demonstrating that you went through a rigorous training process and computer-based exam to obtain it. You are a CAPM if you pass this test. It is beneficial to understand the structure of the CAPM exam while you study for it.

The CAPM Exam has 150 multiple-choice questions. 15 of the 150 questions are classified as pretest questions. It means that when you take the exam, you will be asked to answer all 200 questions, but your ultimate score will be determined by 135 correct answers. The answers to the pretest questions will not be included into your final score. The exam can be completed in three hours.
