…the app works fine for me, with no recurrence of the log-in problems or other bugs, but it’s suddenly started to eat an enormous amount of data. I only noticed when my data allowance warning told me it was running out (I normally use less than a third per month in total) and I checked which apps were causing it. This began two updates ago as far as I can tell. I’ve had to go back to using the web version.

This app is the worst carrier's interface I have ever seen. It makes it stupid-difficult to get a/d details into the preset field descriptors that insisted to me that my town was, in the DHL universe "invalid".... And it took multiple tries to get past the minefield that is a masterpiece of barrier-design calculated to keep the less-aware from completing the process. I'm an old hand with this stuff, but this crazy-stupid form had me ready to toss the ipad across the room... (no, I didn't - I'm not quite that far gone despite my years) And once actually complete, it tells me there's no parcel on its way to me... when I know that there is. If you want to see another carrier's app that is super easy to install and register with, try that other company whose 3 letter name also begins with D.... the second is P. It is everything that this one - absolutely isn't. After I thought all was actually correct, I checked the map position. The detail there showed a building number about 30 premises ...

Website provides a similar experience. Took a day just to register, supposedly the country I live in doesn’t exist (England) or match the rest of the address. Once I figures out it’s best to ONLY use your postcode and let the app fill in the blanks with its own details. Once that hurdle has been cleared trying to find a suitable tracking number for the app is impossible. I have a item that the website can track and provides some details but trying each and every number in the all just results in a invalid error. After trying for the last few days it easier to just delete the app and use the website.

The app has improved from what it was, but is still horrendously slow on start up. It’s also poor at offering assistance with other DHL tracking numbers considering the vast amount of sending/tracking options they have. Consolidation of tracking would be better because the number of different services looks like they have far too many legacy systems that can’t talk to each other.
